Fiddler Smilin' Herm, aka Sandol Astrausky, appeared on the Rhode Island musical landscape in the early 1990's playing on the soundtrack to the movie "The Secret of Roan Inish," and has toured as an old-time duo with banjo and flute player Mark Roberts. She has been a fixture on the contra dance and old-time music scene in Connecticut and Rhode Island for many years.
